On December 12 & 13, the Cheatham County Central High School Beta and Key clubs volunteered at the Ashland City Civitan Christmas Anonymous store. The store provides a helping hand to Cheatham County residents who are faced with economic challenges. Not only did Cheatham County students help set up and take down the entire event, they also acted as personal shoppers (a.k.a. elves) for over 200 local families. The students were overwhelmed by the generosity of the community in equipping the store with wonderful gifts, coats, and books. More importantly, they witnessed true gratefulness in the hearts of the shoppers.
One student overheard a visitor say that this would be the first Christmas she has been able to give her children in four years. Santa will be sliding down more Cheatham County chimneys this year due to the generosity of those contributing to Christmas Anonymous.
