Shelley Mayo, program director and Cheatham County coordinated school health supervisor said, “The funding from this grant will give us the resources to provide access to a full continuum of school and community-based prevention, intervention, and counseling services. It also will increase our capacity to serve students exposed to pervasive violence.”
Jeff Bennett, district communications director and grant writer added, “Our students are the heart and soul of everything we do. We are very happy to have opportunities, like Project Prevent, to meet these ever-growing needs in our community.”
Project Prevent – Cheatham County will begin this school year.
