Members of the 2016-2017 Aspiring Administrator’s Academy. Members of the 2016-2017 Aspiring Administrator’s Academy are busy preparing themselves for future leadership roles in the Cheatham County School District.
The academy, which was first implemented in 2014, is designed to recruit, train, support and retain high quality instructional leaders dedicated to serving the school district.
The academy’s purpose is to build capacity within Cheatham County teachers for future positions in school administration.
Participants meet once a month. Pleasant View Elementary School Principal Keith Miller and Kingston Springs Elementary School Principal Joy Bauman are the facilitators for this year’s academy.
“The academy seeks visionary and passionate teachers who are eager to assume leadership roles and dramatically increase outcomes and opportunities for Cheatham County students, families and schools,” Interim Director of Schools Stacy Brinkley said.
Brinkley added: “Our district is dedicated to establishing the next phase of county leadership through the ranks of instructors already in our buildings … and this is their first step.”
