 | Kaitlyn Williams, a student in Mrs. Mallory Lemley’s third grade class at East Cheatham Elementary School, submitted an original book in the Tennessee Reading Association’s “Celebrate Literacy” competition. Kaitlyn’s book earned a silver medal on the state level. This yearly competition is open to all students and all grade levels; including home school. The Cheatham County Reading Council distributes competition information each year to all schools. Kaitlyn said she encourages all students to use their creative writing skills to compose original books of their own and enter next year’s competition. She is looking forward to writing her next book. |
