Top science fair participants from each school in grades 3 – 12 will compete in the Cheatham County District Wide Science Fair on Thursday, October 23. Science fair coordinator, Emily Staggs said, “The science fair is an opportunity for our students to shine bright. We are very thankful for the community support shown to our participants.” Staggs added that judges include Representative Mary Littleton, County Mayor David McCullough, and members of the Cheatham County Commission.
According to Staggs, Toni Hawley (teacher from East Cheatham Elementary), Debbie Burnett and the Sycamore Middle School dance team, and Maggie Mason and the Sycamore High School choir will provide entertainment.
Staggs said, “We’re thankful for the support of BJ’s Family Restaurant, The Lunch Box, and Riverview Restaurant for providing refreshments during the event.”
The Cheatham County District Wide Science Fair is open to the public and will be Thursday, October 23 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Cheatham Middle School.
