The Key Club & Beta Club at Cheatham County Central High School volunteered at Second Harvest Food Bank on Saturday morning, November 8, and sorted 7,000 pounds of food, which will make nearly 9,000 meals! The Cheatham County School Board recognized the Harpeth High School Lady Indians at its monthly board meeting on Tuesday, November 4.
At the end of a great season, the HHS volleyball team advanced to the Class AA state tournament in Murfreesboro to compete for the state title. According to The Ashland City Times, Harpeth finished with an overall record of 36-6 and 15-0 in District 9-AA. The staff at the Cheatham County School District's Central Office look forward to distributing candy to local groups each year.
This year staff members gave candy to the following groups:
Ryan Christmas, Hank White, and Nick Owen (football players at CCCHS) read to students at Ashland City Elementary on Friday, October 31. Tori Lawson, assistant principal at CCCHS, said, "We want students in lower grade levels to feel excited about going to high school. We're encouraging our students to be role models for students in middle and elementary school." Lawson added that CCCHS has plans to continue reaching out to students in the central cluster middle and elementary schools. |
